INFLUENCERS is a short documentary that explores what it means to be an influencer and how trends & creativity become contagious today in music and fashion.
Directed by Paul Rojanathara and Davis Johnson, the film is a Polaroid snapshot of New York influential creatives (advertising, design, fashion and entertainment) who are shaping today’s pop culture.

ถึงเพื่่อนๆ FAB 11 ทุกคน
มีเรื่องแจ้งให้รู้กันว่า ขณะนี้ กำลังจะมีงานเล้ียงศิษย์เก่า คณะศิลปกรรมศาสตร์ ครบรอบ 20 ปี เป็นที่ค่อนข้่างแน่นอนคือวันเสาร์ ที่ 6 มิถุนายน 2552 และระหว่างที่จะถึงวันที่กำหนดจะมีการจัดทำหนังสือทำเนียบของคณะ โดยผมรับหน้าที่เป็นผู้ประสานงานและรวบรวม รายละเอียดของทุกๆ คนในรุ่น 11 จากทุกภาควิชา (นิเทศศิลปฯ, ตกแต่งภายใน, ทัศนศิลป์) ทั้งนี้จึงต้องรบกวนเพื่อนๆ ดังนี้นะ
1. ขอให้ทุกคนส่งรายละเอียดของแต่ละคน คือ ชื่อ-สกุล, ชืื่อเล่น, ที่อยู่, เบอร์โทรบ้าน, มือถือ, อีเมล์, ชื่อบริษัทที่ทำงาน, ตำแหน่ง (สำหรับคนที่อยู่ต่่างประชาติ ขอทั้งเมืองไทยกับที่เมืองนอกเลยนะ) ทั้งนี้ต้องการนำมาลงในหนังสือครับ โดยรบกวนส่งมาให้ผมภายในวันที่ 25 ตุลาคม 2551 นี้
2. ในวันงานจะมีการประกาศและมอบรางวัลศิษย์เก่าดีเด่น โดยจะมีการเสนอชื่อเพื่อนของเราแต่ละภาควิชา ว่าจะส่งใคร โดยมีคณะกรรมการตัดสิน จากพี่ๆรุ่น 1-10 และคณะอาจารย์ ดังนั้นจึงขอให้ช่วยเสนอชื่อเพื่อน และต้องการรายละเอียดผลงาน ความสำเร็จที่เป็นที่ยอมรับต่อวิชาชีพที่ทุกคนทำงานอยู่ ว่าเคยได้รับรางวัลอะไรบ้าง เป็นต้นนะ
3. ก่อนจะมีการจัดงานปีหน้า จะมีการระดมทุนจัดงาน โดยอาจจะมีการให้ช่วยหาสปอนเซอร์มีช่วยสนับสนุน เพื่อนๆคนไหนมี คอนเน็คชั่นที่พอจะขอทุนได้ รบกวนช่วยบอกกันด้วยนะ ผมจะหาทีมไปช่วยติดต่อด้วยครับ
4. การจัดระดมทุน อาจจะเป็นรูปแบบจัดงานแล้วให้เราช่วยซื้อบัตรเพื่อนร่วมกิจกรรม แล้วนำเงินทุนนั้้นมาจัดงานเลี้ยงในวันที่ 6 มิ.ย. 52 หรือการขอทุนรูปแบบสปอนเซอร์ลงในหนังสือทำเนียบศิษย์เก่า หรือใครมีความคิดเห็นเสนอช่วยแจ้งมาบอกกันได้ครับ
5. สุดท้ายครับ ผมรบกวนเพื่อนๆ รุ่นเราที่ได้รับอีเมล์นี้ช่วยส่งข่าวต่อให้คนอื่นๆ ้เพราะผมมีอีเมล์ทุกคนไม่ครบครับ

This book began as a list designer Stefan Sagmeister made in his diary under the title Things I have learned in my life so far, which includes statements such as “Worrying solves nothing” and “Trying to look good limits my life.” The list reveals something that is profoundly true: Although human beings have been pursuing happiness for countless generations, it is not so easily achieved. And we need constant reminders to keep us on the right path.
With the support of his clients, Sagmeister transformed these sentences into typographic works, from billboards in France to sign-toting inflatable monkeys on the streets of Scotland. Accompanied by essays from design historian Steven Heller, Guggenheim chief curator Nancy Spector, and UK psychologist Daniel Nettle, as well as Sagmeister’s own words, the series is revealed as a complex blend of personal revelation, art, and design–an eclectic mix of visual audacity and sound advice.
This book consists of 15 unbound signatures in a laser-cut slipcase. Shuffling the sequence of the signatures will produce 15 different covers.

"Type is saying things to us all the time. Typefaces express a mood, an atmosphere, they give words a certain coloring."
"Graphic design is the communication framework through which these messages about what the world is now and what we should aspire to - it's the way they reach us. The designer has an enormous responsibility. Those are the people putting their wires into our heads."
But what happens when you combine typography with motion? That's the process of kinematic typography and the results, when paired with some excellent scenes from your favorite films and TV shows, can be moving and marvelous.

In this re-creation of the famous assassination scene in Pulp Fiction, creator Jarratt Moody deftly blends together different fonts to great effect, and employs one of the best uses of font close-ups you'll ever see.

This is perhaps one of the simpler of these videos, but still quite effective. Specifically, the words in this video interact with each other in a jumbled mess that seems to indicate Bates' own state of mind.

Scenes from the Coen Brothers' hilarious film, and this video by Michael De Graaf, though simplistic compared to the others, offers a good look at several interesting elements of kinematic typography: wacky color usage, simultaneous dialogue and ellipses.
